Ross Montgomery Author Visit

We were thrilled to welcome Ross Montgomery, award winning author, to Port Isaac to start the term with a huge injection of enthusiasm for reading. He gave us an insight in to how and why he became an author, followed by a question and answer session.

Each class took part in a workshop where they thought about how to craft character and narratives. Dolphin Class discovered Ross' newest book Spellstone, Puffin Class considered the Shakespearian origin of the book Rock Bottom and Seal Class explored a whole variety of monsters in the book Ten Terrible Teachers.

We are very grateful to Friends of School for funding the visit, the children were totally engaged and inspired by Ross, his books and his top tips for being a writer.
